Iranian man who blinded a woman with acid to be blinded himself
March 18, 2009 - A judge in Iran has ruled that a man who blinded and disfigured a woman with acid for refusing to marry him will himself be blinded as punishment.
Undеr Islаm's Shаrіа Lаw, retribution for violent crimes is permitted. The man in this case will have acid dropped into both his eyes, blinding him, in return for the damage he inflicted on his victim. He will not be disfigured as she was, and will be anesthetized for the procedure.
The victim claims she has done this to prevent future violence against women. "At an age when I should be putting on a wedding dress, I am asking for someone's eyes to be dripped with acid." she said. "I am doing that because I don't want this to happen to any other woman."
